Acquisition of land for a new office building in Shiodome, Tokyo

Nov. 19, 2002

A plan of construction of a building in the Shiodome-Hamamatsucho area having been is being developed as a new base for the transmission of information in Tokyo.

This area is accessible from four stations on six lines, which are Hamamatsucho Station on the JR Yamanote Line, Keihintohoku Line, and Tokyo Monorail Line; Daimon Station and Shiodome Station on the Toei Asakusa Line and Oedo Line; and Shiodome Station on the Shinkotsu Yurikamome Line. Also, since it only takes about twenty-three minutes by monorail to Haneda Airport, it is very conveniently located. Additionally, Kyu-Shiba-Rikyu Garden and Hamarikyu Garden are located in the neighborhood, where are both rich in history as well as nature.

We shall hold two thirds of the equity in the building and Nippon Tochi Tatemono Co., Ltd. shall hold the other third. A plan of the building, with a total floor space of about 33,000 m2, will have twenty-two stories aboveground and two basement. We estimate to start construction in October of 2004 and to be completed by August of 2006.
