| 1963 | The company's first LPG ocean tanker, the first Toyosu Maru, was commissioned. |
| 1964 | The separation of the Liner Service Department was brought about by Kaiun Saiken Niho (The Two Laws for the Reconstruction of the Sipping Industry) and transferred to the newly established Iino Kisen Kaisha, Ltd., which later amalgamated with Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. |
