Delivery of the Second Very Large Ethane Carrier (VLEC) "IINO INEOS SUNNA" for INEOS Europe AG

IINO Kaiun Kaisha, Ltd. (IINO Lines) is pleased to announce that the second of two dual-fuel Very Large Ethane Carriers (VLECs), named IINO INEOS SUNNA (hereinafter "the Vessel"), which will be chartered out to INEOS Europe AG (headquartered in Rolle, Switzerland; hereinafter "INEOS")*1 on a long-term time charter contract, has been delivered today by HD Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Ulsan, South Korea) *2.  The Vessel is owned by a joint venture with LIBERA CORPORATION (headquartered in Kure, Japan) *3.

As with the first vessel, "IINO INEOS VESTÁ" which was delivered in September 2025, the Vessel is equipped with a dual-fuel main engine and has a significantly lower CO emissions footprint than conventional heavy fuel oil-powered vessels.

In IINO Lines' mid-term management plan, "The Adventure to Our Sustainable Future," we have set a goal to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. In line with this vision, we are actively investing in alternative fuels. To date, we have introduced dual-fuel vessels powered by methanol and LPG, as well as ammonia-ready vessels that can switch to ammonia fuel in the future. The Vessel marks our second dual-fuel ethane carrier to join our operating fleet. IINO Lines will contribute to the realization of a sustainable society through the continued introduction of environmentally advanced vessels.
