Selected as a component of MSCI Nihonkabu ESG Select Leaders Index

IINO Kaiun Kaisha, Ltd. (IINO Lines) is pleased to announce that its ongoing efforts for sustainability havebeen highly evaluated and it has been selectedas a constituent of the MSCI Nihonkabu ESG Select Leaders Index(the index), a majorESG investment indexadopted by the Pension Fund Investment Fund (GPIF), the world's largest pension fund management organization.

Theindex is an ESG investment index provided by Morgan Stanley Capital International Inc.(MSCI ).Companieswith relatively high ESG ratings within their respective industries are selected from among the constituents of the parent index (MSCI Nihonkabu InvestableMarket Index). 516companies have been selected as of January 2024.

The MSCI ESG Ratings are based onMSCI researches and analyzes ESG-related initiatives.The ratings are based on a seven-point scale from "AAA," the highest rank, to "CCC," the lowest rank. We have received an "A" rating in the MSCI ESG rating for 2024.

In our mid-term management plan, "The Adventure to Our Sustainable Future," we have set out to overcomemateriality and are continuing to promote sustainability initiatives. We will continue to promote sustainability initiatives and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
