IINO Lines received a "Silver" rating in EcoVadis Sustainability Assessment
IINO Kaiun Kaisha, Ltd. (IINO Lines) is pleased to announce that we have received a "Silver (*)" rating from EcoVadis, an international rating organization based in France. The "Silver" rating is awarded to the top 15% of all companies assessed, and the Group has achieved a score equivalent to the top 9% of all companies. EcoVadis assesses the sustainability of more than 150,000 companies in 180 countries around the world in four areas: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
In our mid-term management plan "The Adventure to Our Sustainable Future," announced in May 2023, we have identified "overcoming materiality" as a key strategy to create social value. We have formulated and are implementing a plan to achieve a decarbonized society, with the aim of becoming carbon neutral by 2050. Additionally, we continuously address various sustainability issues by enhancing our human capital, responding to societal demands such as respecting human rights including supply chain, and improving our governance and legal compliance. We believe that the Group's efforts to date have been highly evaluated, resulting in this "Silver" rating. We will continue to promote sustainability initiatives to ensure a sustainable future for all stakeholders.
