Visit from Saudi Deputy Minister of Transport
IINO Kaiun Kaisha, Ltd. (IINO) welcomed Mr. Al-Bakri, Deputy Minister of Logistics Services of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ('Saudi Arabia') and other government officials who visited the company on 3 September and met with President Otani and senior executives from relevant departments for approximately one hour.
IINO has strong presence in the chemical tanker business and has been involved in maritime transport from the Middle East since the late 1970s, with petrochemical products produced in Saudi Arabia in particular being a major cargo in the region. In addition, the Company has over the years built up a friendly and strong relationship with Saudi Arabian shippers not only in the chemical tanker business, but also in the oil tanker and dry bulker businesses.
Under the national strategy of the Saudi Vision 2030, the Government of Saudi Arabia is diversifying its economy and aims to become a global hub, particularly in the transport sector. As part of this initiative, government officials from Saudi Arabia recently visited Japan to promote the entry of foreign companies into Saudi Arabia, and paid a visit to our company.

During the meeting, there was a lively discussion on the potential for cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Japanese companies, including our own. The Company will continue to strengthen its cooperation with Saudi Arabia, aiming to expand its global business and increase its corporate value in accordance with its mid-term management plan.
