Emergency Drill of our Operating Vessel

IINO Kaiun Kaisha, Ltd. (IINO Lines) conducted a joint accident response drill with its group's ship management company IINO Marine Service Co., LTD. (IMS) on October 8th.

The drill was conducted under the scenario that a Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) owned and operated by IINO Lines, and managed by IMS, collides with another vessel while navigating off the coast of Singapore. In this exercise, Emergency Headquarters were established both at IINO Lines and at IMS. These two headquarters were connected online to enable real-time information sharing and coordination with internal and external parties. The drill also included simulations for responding to external inquiries. Due to the location of the incident, we worked closely with our office in Singapore to confirm procedures for reporting to the local authorities and other on-site responses.

IINO Group's management policy states, "Safety is the foundation of its business operations" and safety is one of our top management priorities. The exercise was carried out to build up emergency response expertise and share improvements across the Group, and by conducting drills regularly, we will improve the crisis response capabilities of Group-operated vessels and continue to provide safe and secure services.
