Expansion of Disclosures Based on the TNFD Recommendations

IINO Kaiun Kaisha, Ltd. (IINO Lines) has expanded its disclosures in line with the recommendations of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD).

TNFD is an international organization established in June 2021 to develop a framework for corporate risk management and disclosure related to nature. In March 2025, we joined the TNFD Forum and registered as a TNFD Adopter, and have since been reviewing and enhancing its disclosures with the aim of aligning them, within fiscal year 2025, with the four pillars of the TNFD recommendations: Governance, Strategy, Risk and Impact Management, and Metrics and Targets.
As part of this initiative, we conducted an analysis based on the LEAP approach*¹ advocated by the TNFD, assessing nature-related dependencies, impacts, risks, and opportunities. Based on the results of this assessment, we have further expanded the scope and depth of its disclosures.

In our management policy, the Group state that "As responsible members of society, we work together with society to contribute to solving various issues," and we are working to resolve social issues through our efforts to conserve biodiversity and the environment. We will actively disclose information about the impact of our group's activities on the natural environment and biodiversity, and we will contribute to the realization of a sustainable society by balancing corporate growth with the protection of biodiversity.

The LEAP approach is an integrated framework designed to enable companies and other organizations to systematically assess nature-related dependencies, impacts, risks, and opportunities within their business activities. It consists of four stages: Locate, Evaluate, Assess, and Prepare.
